HerStory Across Borders: Women Who Inspire Today is an international eTwinning project bringing together students and teachers from Croatia, Poland, Portugal, Romania, and Türkiye. The project explores the lives, achievements, and lasting impact of inspiring women from history and contemporary society, with a special focus on science, mathematics, digital innovation, literacy, and active citizenship.
The project is curriculum integrated, connecting English, History, ICT, Mathematics, Science, Citizenship Education, Art, and Media Literacy. Working in international teams, students research remarkable women, collaborate online, and create a joint digital eBook while developing English language skills, digital competence, creativity, critical thinking, communication, and intercultural understanding.
Aligned with the eTwinning Annual Theme – #SkillsForLife, the project empowers students to develop essential lifelong skills through collaboration, responsible use of digital technologies, problem-solving, research, and active participation in a diverse European learning community. By sharing inspiring stories across borders, students promote gender equality, celebrate cultural diversity, and strengthen their sense of European citizenship.
