STEM Academy
STEM Academy
In collaboration with Chico State Latinos in Technical Careers, college students facilitate different science-based workshops at STEM Academy. Together they motivate ETS scholars to pursue a career in STEM. Reach out to our office, or your advisor to find out when the next STEM Academy is taking place. Join us for an eventful day of learning and engaging with other ETS students from other school campuses!
Paint Night
Paint Night
One of the most successful events we have hosted, Paint Night! Paint Night is a very well attended event intended to introduce students to careers in arts while receiving direct interactions from local professional artists. Thank you to our wonderful local Artist, Christine MacShane for teaching our students about art. Student receive art supplies at no cost, along with information about art and careers. Here is a glimpse of some of the wonderful works of art produced!
College Visits
College Visits
Join us on one of our college visits! Students will have the opportunity to tour different campuses, explore majors and careers, speak with current college students, learn about financial aid, and much more! Food, transportation, and rooming are all provided by Educational Talent Search! Reach out to our office or you advisor to learn more about our next college visit!
Scholars Day
Scholars Day
Hosted by the Educational Talent Search program; students have the opportunity to tour our Chico State campus, meet other ETS students, and do hands-on activities with different departments. Students also have the opportunity to engage with a live student-panel, discuss financial aid with a financial aid Advisor, and learn about many of the opportunities Chico State has to offer! Reach out to our office or your Advisor for more information!
Jumpstart to College
Jumpstart to College
Graduating ETS Seniors can attend our annual event, Jumpstart to College. This event is designed to help answer any college questions students may still have and to give them the opportunity to connect with other ETS Scholars as they navigate a new college campus! Students that join us are able to hear from actual college students via a live student panel, ETS Staff, our Financial Aid expert, Pepe Villasenor, and much more!
