Community Invested in Racial and Cultural Learning in Elizabethtown

The CIRCLE community seeks to increase cultural intelligence and anti-racism in the greater Elizabethtown area.

We commit to starting conversations based on common values in schools, homes, and religious and community organizations that foster progress toward dismantling systems of racial injustice. We commit to continuing those conversations through conflict, challenge and disappointment.

We strive to listen to, platform and uplift the voices of those whose stories and experiences have been historically marginalized, silenced and discounted.

We continually seek to understand our own biases, traditions, privileges and unexamined beliefs and expect to grow, change and do better as we learn better - as a model for our neighbors and the next generation.

Ramos said he challenges “our league, our neighboring schools, other leagues, other communities, to be the change, to drive the change, to educate, to teach, to monitor and to constantly check to make sure every environment that our children are in is safe, is inclusive and is equitable.”
