About the 2026 Scholarships
Each year, the ETHS Music Boosters Scholarship Fund awards scholarships to Eastern Tech Seniors who have been involved in the Eastern Tech Music Program.
ALL scholarship donations received between February 26 and March 6 went into this year's scholarship fund. A total of $1,620 was raised!
The Music Boosters added $30 (from our general funds), in order to offer THREE SCHOLARSHIPS of $550 EACH this year.
Note: The total amount of scholarship donations each year affects the scholarships we can award. Because of this, the number of (and value of) scholarships can vary year to year.
ETHS MUSIC BOOSTERS SCHOLARSHIP
Eligibility
To apply for a 2026 ETHS Music Boosters Scholarship, a student had to:
1.) Be in their Senior year at Eastern Tech (graduating in May 2026)
2.) Have either:
-- 3+ years of involvement in the Eastern Tech Music Program through music classes
or
-- 2+ years of involvement in the Eastern Tech Music Program through music classes, and have been a member of the ET chapter of the Tri-M Music Honor Society
Students do not need to pursue a degree, program, or job in music to be eligible.
How to Apply
The 2026 scholarship application opened on Sun. April 19th and closed on Fri. May 8th. It had two parts, BOTH of which had to be submitted by May 8, 2026, for a student's application to be eligible for consideration:
1.) An (online) Google Form, which asked about the student's activities and post-graduation plans, and required a 350-400 word essay. One submission was allowed per student.
2.) A (paper) signature form, signed by the student and a parent/guardian, confirming that the Google Form submission was the student's own work.
Copies of the paper form were available from Ms. Krawcyzk and Ms. Zephir. Seniors had to return the signed form to one of the music teachers (who then gave it to us).
Review Process
All applications that met the eligibility criteria are being evaluated by a scholarship review committee (none of whom are parents, guardians, or family members of a Senior ET student). Students' names will NOT be seen by the reviewers.
Winners will be announced at the ET Senior Awards Ceremony on May 21, 2026.
