This service of prayer can be celebrated anytime after a miscarriage or still birth, and especially when a priest is called to attend such an event.

This service of prayer is for those who have fallen asleep in the Lord, where we remember the departed and ask God to grant  them eternal rest. In the Greek tradition,  we prepare koliva to offer with the prayers and later consume as a community (click here for more on koliva).
