AI has proven to have many different applications but its ability to code and generate content at lightning speed is certainly one of its most impactful so far. Vibe-coding apps like Lovable are already showing massive growth and success but are still just getting started. The future for this sector could not be brighter.
STEM education grew out of a realization that schools must adequately prepare students for their eventual occupations after graduation. While coding skills have been considered essential (and arguably still very much are) this new trend towards AI-enhanced productivity is not going away and educators must embrace this trend sooner or later.
EVA Recommendation
While Lovable has not been marketed or even designed as an EdTech tool, the immediate value it presents to Computer Studies educators is readily apparent. That being said, if a vibe-coding tool was constructed to meet the needs of educators and students in this space, it would be an overnight success. Girls Who Code, has already suggested vibe coding as a great way to get students interested in coding and quickly working on projects that interest them, showing the viability of this concept.
Due to its rapid success, user-friendly design, and its proven success supporting anyone - including K-12 students - looking to build their first app or website, Lovable is a fantastic tool to invest in at this time.
