Kristine is located in Whitehorse, Yukon, the traditional territory of the Kwanlin Dun First Nation and Ta'an Kwach'an Council.
Since 2008, she has taught all primary grades from K-3.
Kristine enjoys finding engaging ways to incorporate media and technology into her daily teaching.
Recently, she completed a Forest & Nature School certification program. This has extended opportunities for outdoor experiential learning with her students.
With one more course to go, she will graduate from the MET program this spring.
Nathalie is a international school teacher who, mostly, grew up in Vancouver, BC, but has lived in 5 countries and studied in Montreal, QC for her undergraduate degree. She is passionate about reducing barriers for all levels of education for everyone. Nathalie believes that studying in the Masters of Educational technology (MET) program at UBC will help to reduce barriers with projects such as this one which will help all types of people around the world.
Jessica Amadi, a middle years French immersion teacher in Regina, Saskatchewan, is deeply committed to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in education. Currently enrolled in her fourth course in the University of British Columbia's Master of Educational Technology (MET) program, Jessica is passionate about integrating cutting-edge educational technology to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes. Her classroom is a dynamic space where students not only develop language proficiency but also cultivate a global perspective and appreciation for cultural diversity.
Steve has taught in Kelowna, BC since 2005. As a teacher and an administrator with responsibilities in post-secondary guidance, he has a great interest in accessibility and inclusivity of post-secondary institutions. He sees first hand the challenges of seeking out supports, opportunities, and communities for his diverse students, and is excited to consider how the process can be made more equitable for all future undergraduate students.
Carlo is from Vancouver, BC, and began the MET program in 2022. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree and teaching certification from Simon Fraser University and has been a teacher in Burnaby, BC, for over 10 years. He is a proud girl dad of a four year old named Presley and a 4 month old named Sydney. He believes in the power of inclusion and equality in education and couldn't be happier to spend time creating this site with his group this semester.
