Sourav Kumar

Sourav Kumar is pursuing Ph.D (Project titled: Mechanical Behaviour of Additively manufactured steels) in MOM lab. Apart from the PhD work , Sourav is actively engaged in the IKS project, which focuses on “investigating traditional iron monuments in central India”. During Ph.D, I am cultivating a holistic approach that spans the realms of material processing , microstructure analysis , and the study of mechanical properties.

Aman Kumar

I am Kumar Aman a graduate student working under Dr. Eswara Prasad Korimilli sir on the topic “Effect of  Laser Shock Peening on the microstructural and mechanical properties of Inconel 718”. I am also working on the numerical analysis of the same using COMSOL Multiphysics and ABAQUS CAE. Being from mechanical background (B.Tech) I always had an interest of doing mechanical design and simulations. Vijay Muralidharan

I am a final year undergrad student and am currently working on my B.Tech project at the MoM Lab. My work is associated with improving the mechanical properties of Inconel 718 alloy via laser shock peening. By doing so, I would like to gain a better understanding of the various mechanisms & parameters influencing laser-material interaction.

Sanidhya Kumar

I am Sanidhya, pursuing my Bachelor in Metallurgical Engineering and Materials Science from IIT Indore. I am passionate about  Data Science and Machine Learning. Currently, I am working on developing machine learning techniques for wear mechanisms classification as a part of my B.Tech project under the supervision of Dr Eswara Prasad Korimilli. I also love to explore the vastness of space and learn about astronomical phenomena. Tulika Dixit

Tulika joined the group in the summer 2017 (she is the first student of the group) as a Master student. Later continued for PhD in the fall 2018. Tulika is trying to understand the mechanical behavior of as-cast, wrought and additive manufactured Ti6Al4V alloys.

Currently I’m working under Dr Eswara Prasad Korimilli on the topic ‘Dynamic Behavior and High Strain Analysis of Ceramics like SiC used in Armor Plates’ in the Mechanics of Materials Lab at IIT-Indore. Being from a Mechanical Background in my Bachelors influenced me to be a part of this Research Area and to work with full dedication on the same. Rama is an undergraduate student interested in computational modeling, machine learning, and materials informatics to drive the design of new materials. Sonakshi Gupta

Sonakshi is an undergraduate student who is interested in accelerating materials discovery and design using data-driven models.
