I love to teach. I take immense pride and enjoyment in watching my students grow musically, intellectually, and personally. Music education is important because music---irrespective of its genre---is one of the best ways to express and appreciate culture and humanity.
I began giving piano lessons when I was 16. Since then, I have taught a diverse group of people: young children, teens, adults, and students with learning disabilities.
I started playing classical piano at the age of 5. I hold a Piano Performance Diploma from the London School of Music in London, UK. I also have a MA in Humanities and Social Thought from NYU, and a PhD in Sociology from Temple University.
Besides giving piano lessons, I teach Sociology at the college level. I also occasionally volunteer in various after-school programs and offer ESL (English as Second Language) classes to immigrants in Philadelphia.
I have had many great mentors and teachers who have helped shape who I am today. This has motivated me to be a teacher to serve others. I believe education is essential for our society and everyone deserves an affordable and high-quality education.
