Time-permitting, the top route I'd prioritize during a visit to Banff!

The stretch on Tunnel Mountain Road has a healthy amount of hills and will be snowy in the winter.

The cycle path next to Banff ave doesn't appear to get plowed in the winter, but there is a shoulder.

This is my go-to when I inevitably get sore from all the hills. 

This route also had decent conditions the morning after a snow storm, with just enough tire tracks to provide traction.

This is of course an out-and-back, which can be adjusted to be shorter or longer (up to ~10mi/16k, more when there isn't snow).

A nice climb then visit the famous look-out before taking a direct route back.

You can push farther Eastward but im my experience you may hit rocky paths which are unpleasant for running.

A shorter, flatter option would be a direct out-and-back to the lookout.

It's easy to miss the turn into the park. Notice it's next to the business school.

There are a few steep parts, but nothing too technincal.

You'll get a nice view of Marseille at about the halfway point.

Last 1/3 is on road.
