Digital Wellness
We all want to parent well in the digital age. Our Digital Wellness Support Group monthly meetings are back! This year the Estes Hills Elementary AND the Phillips Middle communities are coming together to discuss concerns and crowdsource solutions to common issues around raising kids in this tech heavy world. Listen, share, learn and support one another!
Topic: YouTube
February 8th @ 6pm, Philips Middle School Library
Whether you've been having tech talks with your kids all along or you aren't quite sure how to approach that first conversation, this meeting will help you navigate those talks. Digital Discernment is a skill our children need to learn. Come join us to discuss ways to teach our kids how to use tech with purpose, keep their focus, and discern which parts of tech to use or not use.

Family-School Relationships Survey
CHCCS is asking all families/caregivers to complete an anonymous survey to help us improve schools and services. Please complete only one survey per family. If you have more than one student, base your responses on the child whose birthday is closest to January 1.
Click here to complete the survey (now open through April).
2023-24 School Year Volunteer Opportunities / Signups
Volunteers needed!! Please take a moment to see how you can support our Eagles during the 2023-24 school year. There are a variety of ways to serve our school. Some roles require regular amounts of time throughout the year and some are a short-term commitment. Please reach out to Sarah Brincefield (EstesPTApresident@gmail.com) if you would like more information on any of these roles.
Thank you for helping our Eagles soar!
Signup HERE to volunteer for various committees.
You must have a background check in order to volunteer. Apply HERE.
Garden Volunteers for Class Visits Signup HERE
The Estes Hills Garden is in need of used gallon or half gallon milk jugs. These jugs are used by our Eagles to create small solar greenhouses to start all the veggies and flowers for the school garden. The Garden team is requesting milk jugs that you can see the milk through (transparent). Opaque milk jugs don't let any light in and don't work for this project. Thank you very much for spreading the word and gathering as many of these containers as possible. Jugs should be rinsed thoroughly first and can be sent in with your child or brought to the main office and placed in the PTA bin by 2/19.
Girls on the Run Coaches Needed
We are still in need of a few parents who can regularly help with Girls on the Run two afternoons a week. If interested, please reach out to Sarah Brincefield at estesptapresident@gmail.com.
Volunteers Needed
Parent volunteers are still needed to help with various committees such as teacher appreciation, Spring Reading Fair (formerly Readathon), school garden volunteers and more. See above link to sign up or contact Sara.
Save the Date
Spring 2024 Garden Workdays: March 16, April 13, May 18 & June 15
Since these are weekend days volunteer background checks are not needed. All volunteering on campus during the school day will need background checks through the district HERE.
Show your support for our school by joining the PTA. You are not obligated to attend meetings but joining is a great way to show your support for our school and volunteers.
