I began my studies like most people, in a k-12 education system; but I don't consider that my start. I started sewing at a very young age (around 7) lacking a machine and being a child (with no income), I was circumstantially forced to hand-sew; which I am eternally grateful for everyday of my adult life. 

Practice made...not perfect, but very good; a few birthdays later my efforts were awarded with a sewing machine, and I've been sewing ever since. It took a lot of pieces, patterns, and wasted fabric to get there, but my sophomore year of high school I was accepted into my first pre- college course through Parsons Paris. I flourished in their program, I was absolutely ecstatic to do it again.
