I have coded all my experiments, online or in the lab, with oTree. To get started, visit oTree documentation. To see what has already been, see a site that collects useful oTree apps by C. König-Kersting. oTree uses a collection of coding languages and platforms - for general coding lessons and advice (for example on HTML and JavaScript), I can recommend w3schools.

You can find the real effort tasks and simple real time auctions developed with Django Channels here to try them out. Updated example code for Channels 2 real time interactions with oTree can be found here. Note that you must use oTree version < 3.
