Buddhism Resources

Discussion with ordained Buddhist monk Aryasara about teaching Buddhism in line with the Essex Agreed Syllabus 2022. These resources will help teachers who are following any syllabus but were created to support Essex 2022. 

The Mid Essex Buddhist Centre has premises in Chelmsford and Colchester. They are happy to support schools in developing subject knowledge and can organise sessions for students. https://mid-essex-buddhist-centre.org.uk/ 

Thanks to Katrina Kuzminas from Mid Essex Buddhist Centre who formed the first of our Festival of Speakers 2025 visits in March 2025 Katrina was hosted by Cat Carter at Hamilton Primary School, Colchester. 

Katrina talked about her life as a Buddhist to several year groups in two assemblies, supporting the work of Cat Carter who has been focusing on Buddhism in lessons and assemblies over the Spring Term.
