Gamification - Intergalactic Battle

Project Goal: Incorporate creative writing to develop an interactive game that includes a heads up display, life count, timer, and question bank. 

This sample is best viewed on a desktop or laptop and has limited access when viewed on a smart phone or table.

Veronica created this game in December 2020, it was her first time learning Storyline and her skills have drastically advanced since then. More samples will be posted to showcase current skills.

Immersive Design

Project Goal: Increase awareness and resources for people of color since they are often diagnosed with later stages of breast cancer.

Project Goal: Incorporate augmented reality designs to create a question bank. 

This project focused types of malware that affects cyber security can be viewed from a smartphone by downloading the Zappar app to scan the code.

Project Goal: Incorporate augmented reality designs to create a widget about someone we can't live without. Winston is Veronica's best friend and is also a rescue puppy.

Alexa's Findings 

Project Goal: Develop a video using editing techniques with a maximum duration of one minute.

Explainer Video 

Project Goal: Develop a how-to video that includes screen casting with a maximum duration of two minutes.

Human Centered Design

This course is offered through the Acumen Academy online and lasts nine weeks.  It's a group project that offers a platform to teach others how to create innovative solutions to real-world challenges using a four step process:  inspiration, ideation, prototyping, and implementation.  Veronica took this course to further advance her needs analysis and effective design skills.

Mastering Instructional Design 

This course is offered through the Mastering Instructional Design program with Connie Malamed.  Veronica was nominated for a scholarship and took the ID MasterClass to strengthen her academia ID skills.

This course lasts for eight weeks and consists of independent assignments. So far she has completed a needs analysis, audience analysis, and instructional analysis to determine if training would be a viable solution based on the university's business needs. She is currently working on storyboarding and building a prototype.
