Teaching

I teach mathematics and physics at the University of Surrey, with a particular focus on supporting students in developing the mathematical skills required for physics and engineering.

My teaching includes module leadership, lectures, tutorials, assessment design, curriculum development and small-group teaching.

Current Teaching at the University of Surrey

Essential Mathematics — PHY1034

Module Leader

I lead the Essential Mathematics module and contribute to lectures and tutorials for first-year students.

Engineering Mathematics

I contribute to the teaching of:

My teaching covers core mathematical methods used across physics and engineering programmes.

Curriculum Development

I contribute to the design and development of mathematics teaching materials, including:

I have contributed to the development of units covering differentiation, series, integration, partial differentiation, double integration and mechanics.

Previous Teaching Experience

Before joining the University of Surrey, I taught a broad range of physics courses as Teaching Assistant at Yildiz Technical University, including:

I also contributed to the preparation of laboratory manuals and the organisation of physics examinations.

Teaching and Academic Support

Alongside teaching, I contribute to the coordination of teaching and marking support within the School of Mathematics and Physics. My responsibilities include supporting the allocation of teaching demonstrators and helping coordinate marking and assessment schedules.

Professional Recognition

I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).
