According to predictions made by McKinsey Global Institute, around 70% of companies will adopt AI technologies to improve their productivity by 2030, and about 50% of large companies will have fully integrated AI into all their operations (Ilzetzki & Jain, 2023). In this context, Escuela Superior Politécnica de Chimborazo (ESPOCH) Artificial  Intelligence research group (EspochAI), in addition to conducting research and high-impact publications, will also be a promoter of organizing programs or events to promote and assist the ESPOCH community through the use of AI-based methods and resources. Our group members are experts in different areas, which will increase the impact of artificial Intelligence in the University, locally, and Ecuador.

Our main objetive is to propose solutions based on deep learning and computer vision for problems in various sectors such as health, industry, agriculture, and the environment.

The ESPOCH Artificial Intelligence Research Group (EspochAI) is established with the ambitious mission of becoming a regional benchmark in the advancement of knowledge and the application of Artificial Intelligence techniques, with an initial focus on Deep Learning and computer vision.
