Cassandra Foreshadow raced through the passageway glancing off the walls, forced in the direction of this, this infernal labyrinth! “I must escape,” Cassandra thought to herself as she looked back over her shoulder, terrified the thing following her would overtake her! Smack! Right into a wall she crashed, failing to anticipate another forced change in direction by this maze she was lost in. Falling down but hurriedly standing and sprinting forward desperate to stay as far as possible from her terrifying pursuer. “The heck with this, time to transport to safety,
Do not extort.
Convey and Transport.
Disregard time and space.
And send me to the proper place.”
But nothing happened. “Max, I need you!” Cassandra screamed.
“It is my desire.
Assistance I do require.”
Again, no response. Cassandra caroming off another wall, bouncing off wall after wall.
“Blast the obstruction.
To its destruction.
So I can progress
without distress.”
Trying to blast through the barriers in front of her so she could escape! Still nothing happened! “What was that?” Cassandra asked herself, hearing a growling noise close behind her! Then a flash that illuminated the dimly lit corridor. Another flash and a loud crack as a lightning bolt curse hit just behind her. Cassandra ran forward turning, bouncing, twisting, ricocheting, off wall after wall!
“Spells and curses drop.
And cause all magic to stop.”
Still nothing. “What good is magic if it never works!” Cassandra said frustrated beyond belief! Intense loud growling heard just behind her now. Cassandra screams as she hits another wall and falls down hard, face first kissing the abrasive ground. She puts her arms over her face trying to protect herself from her assailant. She hears The Suffocation Curse invoked:
“Hear me evil power.
Cause my victim to bend and cower.
Throat grab and mangle.
Breath obstruct and tangle.
Then cause my prey to strangle.”
“Cassandra screams! Cassandra bolts up in bed awakening from what? A bad dream? No, a premonition!” She turns her bedside light on. Her phone vibrates. It’s a text from her next-door neighbor, Max Solution, asking her if she is okay. She quickly calls him and before Max can say hello, she starts describing her ordeal, firing off her words more rapidly than the fastest gatling gun. She is still extremely upset and shaking from fear. Then suddenly, she feels significantly calmer. It is as if she is being hugged, yes embraced by Max? “Max did you just do something?” She asks finally pausing and allowing him to answer.
“I was going to offer you a virtual hug, but I did not want to interrupt you,” admitted Max.
“Thank you so very much,” Cassandra said as she sighs, feeling Max’s tender, warm but firm embrace. Cassandra falls under Max’s spell and dreams that she is looking into his kind eyes. He kisses her and she sighs deeply, engrossed in bliss. She feels a rush of relaxation, forgetting her attacker completely. She could have sworn a container of safety enclosed her much like a massive bullet proof glass jar was placed around her. Telepathically, she hears Max’s question that he was too afraid to ask and too considerate to bring up, but now that she was no longer frightened and instead safe under Max’s protection she wakes and whispers, “Premonition or bad dream? That is the million-dollar question.” Cassandra hesitated not sure which it was. “I’m going with just a bad dream,” Cassandra finally said.
Max disagreed and so did an extremely worried Sybil Hazard and Phoebe Conjurer.

Cassandra did see that Desiree Siren and her cousin were on the move. She saw where they planned to stay next and she placed some impediments in their way. They were changing hotels, so she flagged their credit cards for fraud, so they had to pay cash. She also disabled their car by flattening its tires. Once they fixed their tires, she drained their gas tank causing another delay. And she saw to it that they received every red light once back on the road. The police had scheduled a sobriety checkpoint and she suggested that they move it to hinder their enemies even more. She even contaminated their food causing Desiree and Ethan to puke their guts out. Cassandra remembered how Desiree and Ethan had kidnapped and humiliated her and this fueled her nastiest to new levels.
She kept Max abreast of her actions which caused him to laugh and suggest some more problems. He recommended that the toilets in their new hotel rooms suddenly get backed up causing an awful stench. The air conditioning went on the fritz of course and only heat came out. The shower only had steaming hot water too. Cassandra caused the spigot in the sink to randomly spray anyone in the hotel room in the eye. She had it flow around corners into other rooms like a snake and hit Desiree and Ethan in the face. And their TV came on magically at 2:00 a.m. blaring an awful sound that caused other hotel guests to complain resulting in Desiree and Ethan being kicked out in the middle of night. One hotel room they stayed at suddenly was infested by bed bugs. The two crooked sorcerers found that each time they needed to use the ladies’/men’s room, the door would be locked and impossible to open and the toilet paper would be available until they reached to use it and then it would miraculously disappear. Cassandra even hacked Desiree’s bank account and wired all her money to the Westmoreland County Food Bank but only after routing it through banks in 21 different countries making the paper trail impossible to follow. Cassandra even reduced the size of their shoes making it impossible for the two sorcerers to squeeze their feet inside. Cassandra made the two cousin’s non-magical lives unbearable.
Ethan Fulton finally had enough and told his cousin that he was leaving with or without her. She decided to join him. Once they left Westmoreland County their problems ceased. So much for that minor annoyance. It was times like this that Cassandra wished she could show other people what she could see. It did put a smile on her face, but not before she performed one last bit of revenge. As they exited the county, Ethan’s car radio came on with Cassandra’s voice telling the fake Desiree, “To never return or else her head would be turned into a goat’s head including the horns, you will develop a permanent urge to itch and you will cry nonstop for the remainder of your pathetic existence!” Cassandra even showed Desiree exactly what she would look like by briefly changing her appearance to the new goat-like Desiree when the defeated witch looked in the mirror. Even the normally fearless Desiree wanted to run and hide like a coward.

...Max could think of only one thing that could help him. He thought about the suggestions written in The Lost Art of Locating Missing Valuables and Uncovering Clandestine Plots. He sure wished he had memorized every word that Cassandra had read out of that manuscript. Max did remember the Tracker Tracer Spell. That should help. He snuck into number 10 and went into the library. Max went down into the hidden library and retrieved the book. He quickly scanned and found the pertinent spell.
The Tracker Tracer Spell – spell to enable a device to track someone or something.
Magic give me the knack.
And help me to track.
When clues I lack.
He closed the book and was about to go back upstairs when he noticed the emerald green globe on one of the tables. Max thought that it couldn’t hurt to have a powerful shield object in his possession, so he grabbed the globe and jammed into his pants pocket. He also remembered the bloodstone in the wooden chest and snatched it as well. Then he raced back upstairs to the main library. Lucky for him no one was the wiser. Now all Max needed was some device to use with the spell. It hit him almost immediately. He would use a magnifying glass. No one would be suspicious when he used it outside even if there were a thousand witnesses. Max ran over to his house and up into his room and retrieved his official Sherlock Holmes’ Super Magnifying Glass. He recited the spell and he noticed a slight glow from the glass as he finished the curse, but it soon dissipated. He then ran back to the scene of the crime in front of number 10. Max took out his flashlight and shown it on the ground. This distracted most of the onlookers making them concentrate on the grass where the light was being flashed rather than on the magnifying glass where the real clues were being provided. Max even heard a few people laughing at him and comparing him to someone called Inspector Clouseau. Undeterred, he concentrated on the magnifying glass. And to his delight some words appeared. They said Route 1239. He wasn’t sure what this meant, but what he hoped it meant was the escape route the kidnappers had used after abducting Cassandra. Max went back inside number 20 and exited right out the back door. He went through his neighbors’ yards and then jumped in his car. Max put his sedan in reverse and drove backward without turning on his headlights until he was out of view. He then drove over to Route 1239. When he reached that road he glanced back at the magic assisted magnifying glass which revealed an arrow so he headed in that direction and placed the glass over the steering wheel so he could see it as he drove. It was just like taking a peek at the speedometer. Max followed where the arrow pointed and after twenty minutes of driving, the needle began pulsating and humming. He stopped the car and walked over to the bushes which lined the road he had stopped on. He pushed some of the branches aside and peered in the direction that the arrow last pointed to. Max could make out a small house with some lights on. He let the bushes return to their normal position and took out his cell phone. He used the cell phone’s GPS to tell him exactly where he was and he emailed the coordinates and address to Detective Hardly. He called the detective and let him know that he was going inside and hung up rather than listen to why he shouldn’t.
Max took a deep breath and braced himself for the battle he knew would follow. He had the magic penny in his pocket that kept his thoughts hidden from Inspirators and magical powers hidden from other wizards. He also had the emerald globe and the bloodstone gemstone with their powers on his side. It was now or never, and Cassandra was counting on him. He wasn’t the marines or a famous hero, but he would have to do. Max took out his door opening remote control strode right up to the front door and pushed the fast forward button. The heavy metal door flung open like a cardboard box in a high wind. Max immediately ran through the door. He had only advanced three steps inside the house when Sid confronted him.
She concentrated for a few seconds and recited,
Weather fair and foul;
I control the winds to howl;
Snow and rain;
I direct whether to restrain;
Sleet and hail;
I command which to prevail;
Climate and weather;
I control you altogether.
Magically, the storm clouds halted their advance. Mrs. Skyward picked up her bundle and with her daughter’s hand in hers she hurried to find Sturgis. “Captain, you will have safe sailing today. There is no need to wait a day before you leave port.”
Captain Sturgis turned and looked at Esmeralda, but before he could say anything, Mrs. Skyward waved her right arm in front of him.
His eyes followed her hand and then he turned and yelled, “Give the order to shove off, Mr. Hockley.”
“Aye aye, sir,” replied the sailor, shaking his head, praying that his captain was right about the weather and every other ship’s captain in Southampton was wrong.
Three hours later, an attractive young woman with long black curly hair and bright blue eyes jumped off her winded gray horse in the port of Southampton. The powerful sorcerer quickly discovered which vessel the Skyward’s had secured passage on. Using a spyglass, Winter Siren peered out into the stormy seas for several hours searching the horizon for any sign of her prey. Only then did she believe the assurances of several ships’ captains that the Blue Whale could not have survived the storm she had sailed into.

The two teenagers listened from the open window as Betty Central gave her TV audience all the gory details from last night’s robbery.
I’m standing in front of number 10 Witch Hemlock Court in Mythical where this morning around three a.m. this street was violated by the most heinous crime – a home invasion, robbery and assault. The perpetrators are believed to be the Countryside Crooks that have plagued the area for several weeks. The victim of these crimes was a harmless, defenseless and innocent sixteen-year-old young lady. Some may say she is just a girl, but you may be shocked how Detective Bert Hardly of the Westmoreland County Police Department portrays her; because he characterized this sixteen year old teenager as the heroine in this story of violence.
Here are Detective Hardly’s words, “Miss Cassandra Foreshadow of number 10 Witch Hemlock Court in Mythical is a true hero. It is a very exciting story how she confronted the robbers and even chased after them. She was awakened by the thunder last night and went downstairs, but the lights were out. Ms. Foreshadow walked into a puddle of water which she later found out to be footprints left by the burglars who were still inside her home. One burglar was behind her and one to the side when Ms. Foreshadow made a mad dash toward the front door as one of assailants tried to grab her. She just barely escaped and called the police. Ms. Foreshadow then ran after the robbers getting a good look at their car. Also, she has supplied the police department with a sketch of one of her assailants. What’s more surprising is that Ms. Foreshadow is only sixteen years old.”
The detective went on to ask the public for help in apprehending these violent criminals. He supplied TV News 99 with this picture of one of the deviants. Detective Hardly also confirmed the criminal had an accomplice and that they may be driving either a gray commercial van with an obscured license plate or a black or blue sedan with defective rear lights.
One of the objects the perpetrators stole was an emerald green orb or globe that is three inches in diameter. If you see this object or the two man sought by the police do not approach them. They are considered violent and dangerous. Instead, call the county police or the TV 99 tip phone number which is listed on the screen. You can go to our website to see a complete listing of all the valuables stolen by the Countryside Crooks as well as a chronology of events in their crime spree.
We hope to have a live interview with the young Ms. Cassandra Foreshadow in the six o’clock hour. Live from Mythical this is TV News 99 Westmoreland County Bureau Chief Betty Central. Back to you Ted.

Doyle’s prepaid cell phone rang jolting both criminals. Cautiously, Doyle pulled it out and examined the number listed on the outside display. “It’s Felix the Fence’s phone number. Do you think I should answer it?” Doyle asked Sid, worried that the police had apprehended their buyer.
“He’s never let us down before, but I won’t argue with whatever you decide to do,” replied Sid, trusting his partner’s judgment.
“Just in case, gather anything you want to take with you and load the van. You know where my emergency bag is at, grab it too,” Doyle said glancing outside from behind the curtains. After Sid left the room, Doyle answered his phone with his prearranged code name, “Hectic Harry’s Hatsize Haberdasher’s Pizza, what’s your order?”
“Seven large pizzas with peppers, mushrooms and anchovies. Deliver them to 930 Lynch Avenue. If they’re any good there will be another more sizable order tomorrow,” said the caller on the phone before hanging up.
Doyle hesitated for a moment then he went out to stop Sid from loading the van. The two men came back inside. “The caller’s response was correct, and it sounded like Felix. The caller wants to meet at the site by Lynch Field at nine thirty tonight. He said seven large with possibly more work tomorrow. What do you think?”
“Seven thousand dollars is a big payoff for us, especially just for a meet. We could call at nine thirty and suggest another location and see if he comes alone. Maybe our run is over and the police are going to catch us sooner rather than later so we might as well gamble everything and see if it is a setup,” replied Sid too greedy to pass up the chance of a big payoff.
“That’s what I like about you, Sid. You’re just like me; a gambler with the guts of a burglar. It sounds too good to be true and therefore it is likely a trap, but nothing ventured, nothing gained is what I always say.”

A woman’s voice interrupted her sleep and whispered to her, “Cassandra, get out of bed. Come on and sit up. You don’t have to open your eyes. Just sit up, Cassandra.” She resisted the woman’s request, desiring to continue to sleep, but the voice was persistent. “Cassandra, Cassandra Foreshadow sit up,” the voice continued.
The voice was too soothing to resist. Cassandra sat up in bed but didn’t open her eyes.
The voice didn’t stop. “Good. Now Cassandra, get out of bed. Step down, place your feet on the floor.” Cassandra frowned, still wishing to lie down and sleep. “Cassandra, you must leave your bed. Something is waiting for you downstairs. It won’t take long,” the voice spoke softly.
“Who are you?” Cassandra moaned softly still with her eyes shut.
“That isn’t important. Please leave your bedroom.”
“What’s downstairs?” Cassandra asked sleepily.
“A beautiful ruby necklace is waiting for you downstairs. Now leave your bedroom,” the woman prodded.
“Why are you giving me this necklace?”
“You earned it. Your kindness today should be encouraged. It’s mine and I wish you to have it and enjoy it,” prodded the female voice.
“All right,” Cassandra finally surrendered and crawled out of bed. She stood in her bedroom, but started to fall back to sleep.
“Cassandra, leave your bedroom and walk downstairs,” the woman said patiently and softly.
“But I’ll wake my mother and aunt, if I leave my bedroom. Won’t they hear us talking?”
“They can’t hear us. We aren’t speaking out loud. We’re speaking through our thoughts.
“How is this possible?” Cassandra asked.
“How do you think?”
Cassandra hesitated for a moment then replied, “I don’t know.”
“You don’t have to worry. This is just a dream.”
“Who are you?” Cassandra asked as she backed up toward her bed.
“Don’t be afraid. I mean you no harm. This explanation can wait. Please walk downstairs.”
“Where downstairs?” Cassandra asked as she left her bedroom.
“What you seek is in the library,” answered the woman.
Cassandra walked down the stairs with her eyes still closed holding onto the banister. She reached the bottom of the stairs and entered the library. She stopped just inside the room.
“Very good. Now turn left and go over to the shelves against the far wall,” the voice whispered patiently. Cassandra walked over to the left side of the library and stood by the bookshelves and waited for further instructions.
“Now remove the last book on the left on the bottom shelf. That’s it”
Cassandra followed the dream’s directions and removed a book titled The Hound of the Baskervilles by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
“Now slide the side of the shelf up and reach inside,” the voice directed Cassandra.
She slid a concealed panel upward revealing a hidden compartment. She placed her hand inside and pulled out a gold necklace with a beautiful red ruby stone dangling from it. She kept her eyes closed and still remained asleep. The ruby glowed brightly filling the room with a red light. It also emitted a low humming sound at a constant pitch as if it was an instrument playing a single musical note. As she placed the piece of jewelry around her neck, both the necklace and the red ruby stone disappeared returning the room to darkness and silence. Cassandra felt different somehow, but she didn’t know how exactly. An instant later, she was back in her bedroom, lying in her bed, but something was bothering her eyes. Her bedroom was filled with bright sunlight. She rose quickly to find out that it was already nine o’clock in the morning. How could she have slept this late? Cassandra remembered something about a dream, but she couldn’t recall many of the details. She remembered something about a real ruby necklace. Cassandra raced to the mirror to see what it looked like, but only her reflection greeted her. She felt for the pendant around her neck, but it wasn’t there. There was no sign of a necklace or a red ruby pendant. She just assumed she had dreamt about her own fake ruby necklace and shrugged the incident off. She was only too happy to enjoy a nice summer day off with no school. Cassandra hopped in the shower and then went downstairs to make some breakfast and help unpack some boxes.

Just then the phone rang again. “Please Aunt Helen, please can you answer the phone,” begged Cassandra, holding her hands together.
“Your mother will have my head on a pike,” Aunt Helen complained under her breath. “I don’t want any of your blood money either.”
“Please answer the phone, Foreshadow, Solution & Associates,” Cassandra said begging. Max was in the background trying to repress a laugh.
“Foreshadow, Solution & Associates, how can I help you?” Aunt Helen said. “No comment. The partners are on a case and are not accepting calls from the media at this time. Thank you for calling.”
“Nice touch. You were great,” Cassandra said just before she kissed her aunt on the cheek.
The phone rang again. “Foreshadow, Solution & Associates, how can I help you? Is there anyone there?” Aunt Helen said then hung up the phone. “Another hang up. How original.”
Max turned to Cassandra smiling. His expression then turned much more serious as he detected fear on his partner’s face.

“I’ll go answer the door,” Max said volunteering for hazardous duty. He opened the door to find a microphone being thrust in his face by a man who was intent on entering the house before being invited. The man, wearing an obvious toupee, was stopped in mid stride with his leg stuck in the air as if he was trying to ascend the next step up a staircase. He had collided with the protective shield that was being cast from Max’s ring. He almost laughed at the expression on the reporter’s face which was part grimace, part fright. Max leaned forward slightly causing the man to retreat outside onto the porch. Several other reporters were outside with some on the sidewalk and some on the lawn.
“This is private property and you are not welcome. And you, yes you, in the bad suit! Get off the lawn! You’re killing the grass. Don’t you have anything better to do than harass an old lady? Why don’t you track down the Countryside Crooks so you can pester them? You deserve each other!” Just as Max finished his speech the scourge of the neighborhood swooped down and pecked at one of the reporters sending her scurrying for her broadcast truck. And with that, Max slammed the door in their faces. He turned around to see Cassandra and her aunt laughing.

“Maybe, but improbable. I doubt very much if any of the Skyward clan would have left their magical resources unguarded. I keep coming back to the conclusion that someone dead is helping the two teenagers.”
“Impossible.”
“I agree, but I just can’t think of another alternative. If this is the case, then we are really up against a powerful opponent. That’s even better because we can finally find out who is the more powerful family. I like our chances; a full grown and experienced witch and warlock against two children with little or no skill or training. This is also a chance to kill off the Skyward family and capture all of their secrets and power once and for all.”

The members resembled clouds or wisps of smoke that you could partially see through. Each was unique in color and size. They long ago had outgrown and left their worn-out useless bodies. Being mere spirits had its advantages, though. It allowed them to live longer than planets and made it much easier to traverse the great distances of the universe. Even though the Inspirators could take on any physical form, most preferred their spirit representation because it required less concentration. They showed their emotions by changing colors or through weather changes inside their cloud like body. Some were known to cry by depicting a rainstorm inside their clouds.

Two hundred and forty years later on Saturday May 14th, 2005
“Cousin, you’re sure that this is the same person?” inquired Desiree Siren, as she hunched over two old ships’ manifests studying each closely. After a few seconds, the slender, attractive female with long black curly hair and bright blue eyes turned and looked at the man sitting next to her as she waited for his reply.
“Yes, I’m as sure as anyone can be after two hundred and forty years,” replied Ethan Fulton, a stocky man with blonde hair and blue eyes. “The date of the first ship’s voyage to America coincides with the date of her disappearance. Now compare the captains of the Blue Whale which left Southampton in 1765 and the Blue Shark which returned later that same year. They are the same. Reports at the time said the first ship sailed into a storm and didn’t survive, but several of the crew later turned up on the second ship. And look at the passenger manifest of the first ship. It lists a Blake, Esmeralda and Celeste Conjurer. They only changed their last names. Records show the three landing in Philadelphia in 1765. After that, the trail goes cold.”
“You’re not giving up now that you’re this close are you?” implored Desiree.
“No, but it’s going to take considerable time. And even if we find out where they went that doesn’t mean they stayed there. They may have moved again and again. I know you want to find this family, but is it really worth it after all of these years? I mean, all you have is a legend. You don’t even know if it’s true.”
“It’s true. I’d bet my life on it. And if the story is true, then it’s definitely worth more than anything on Earth,” answered Desiree, her eyes wild with greed.

Awkward but Sweet Take 1
“The title page has an author’s name! Maybe this is our mysterious woman,” Cassandra blurted out, while she strained to see what was on the page.
“Would you like to read this manuscript for both of us?” He asked handing her the large leather-bound book with cursive writing.
“No, you’re doing great. Please continue,” Cassandra apologized sheepishly as she backed away.
“You could put on your glasses. You may be able to see better,” Max suggested, turning to look at his sixteen-year-old friend.
“No. I don’t really need them,” Cassandra lied, hiding the fact that she felt self-conscious wearing them.
Max turned toward Cassandra, their faces only six inches apart. He studied her face and their eyes met. Max felt more content than he had ever in his life. “I think your glasses make you look more, more—” Max hesitated. He knew he had gone too far too fast. He could see how eagerly Cassandra was looking at him, almost imploring him to say some magic words she wished to hear. The anticipation on her face was obvious. His next few words could doom their relationship. He wanted to say that she was pretty, glasses or no, but he was too afraid of rejection or ridicule. Max’s temperature began to rise, but then he said, “I think your glasses make you look more mature.”
“Oh—gee —thanks,” replied Cassandra, lowering her head pretending to look at the floor and noticeably disappointed.
“I also think that you look pretty with your glasses on—but that doesn’t mean you don’t look nice without them on,” Max stammered, trying to recover, cursing his clumsiness.
Cassandra glanced up at him. Her face registering gratitude as she replied, “You’ve been a good friend, Max. Thanks for the kind words.”
He could tell that she didn’t believe that he was sincere but had merely said what he thought she wanted to hear. The only positive aspect of her reply was that she wouldn’t hold her perception of his feelings toward her against him. Max had a sudden impulse to kiss her, but successfully resisted it. Before he could say another word, he thought he heard someone whisper, “Fool!”

First Premonition
During the exchange of the package, the creepy man and the teenager’s hands touched for a split second. Instantly, Cassandra experienced a sensation that she was whisked off to another time and place. She wasn’t exactly at this site, as much as she was watching from the sidelines. It was the middle of the night and everything was dark until she saw this same disturbing man inside her new home looking around the library with a flashlight. He was examining the column and the emerald globe that rested on the top of the pillar. Just as quickly, the scene disappeared. Cassandra returned to reality and witnessed the delivery man hurrying to the door.

Can you guess the name of this character? Here is a hint: M??????
Another feathered inhabitant of Max’s neighborhood was a solitary shiny jet-black raven. It would sit on the eaves of the vacant house next door, number 10, for what seemed to be several consecutive hours. Every time Max looked over at the house next door, he would see the raven sitting there watching. At first, Max found the bird’s gaze somewhat unnerving, but then he laughed it off as foolishness. The raven was a nuisance in the morning because it would call out, or more precisely caw out, just outside Max’s open window and wake him up. He wished the hawk would dive bomb this black curse and drive it away, but it never happened. Max was resigned to the fact that his new neighbor would rouse him every morning before the sun came up even though he had nothing to do. He debated giving the bird a name, but in the end, he just referred to it as a scourge to be afflicted by. Max said it out loud once and the bird pulled its head back and cawed just like it was insulted that such a reference was being applied to it.

First few lines from Witchcraft, Premonitions & the Emerald Globe Caper (Foreshadow Seer Series Book 1)
“Mummy, I had a dream,” whispered six-year-old Celeste Skyward, as she tugged on her drowsing mother’s arm.
“What was it about?” Esmeralda asked, as she pulled her daughter up onto her lap.
“There was an evil witch named Winter with long black curly hair and bright blue eyes riding on a black horse toward our house,” replied the small girl, while she rubbed the sleep from her green eyes. “A vulture was flying above her. They both were hiding in the fog so she could sneak up on us and steal your chest and book that you keep hidden under the stone by the fireplace.”
“How did you know about my hiding place?” interrupted her mother, who was no longer drowsy.

The Conjurer family can trace its roots back centuries to at least the year 330. Its history has been marred by unprovoked attacks by several other magical families. The most recent of which is from the Siren clan. It was their relentless assaults that nearly destroyed the ancestors of the Conjurer family and drove the survivors to take a new name and leave England for America.

This magical object do conceal.
Its mystical secret not to reveal.
Magical Orbs: Magical properties can be embedded in just about any device. One of the most popular objects is the Magical Orb or Globe. It is usually made of glass, but could be a stone or even a coin. The primary purpose is to shield the owner from detection. All magical objects give off a magic aura that can be sensed by witches and warlocks. Normal witches and warlocks have a weak ability to sense other magical objects. Seers have a far greater sensitivity to other magical objects and they also can make much more effective magical signal deadening shields or globes.
