Robotics
Final Project: Boogie Bots
Project: Boogie Bots
Course: COSMOS 2022 Robotics
Duration: July 27th 2021 - August 5th 2021
Objective: Apply basics learned from previous EV3 projects to create a robot that performs
Type of Project: Team Project
My team was tasked to create a project after completing basic challenges such as following a line with an EV3 robot. We were given no criteria and the only constraint was the due date of August 5th. We faced multiple challenges as we wanted to create a human-like robot with bending knees and wanted it to perform a waltz, but found that it was quite difficult which is why we ended up with the robot performing line dancing shown in this video. We presented our journey through this process in this presentation and in an Ignite style presentation as well. An Ignite presentation is a five minute presentation where the slides presented move by themselves every fifteen seconds. Skills I used in this project was coding in robotC as well as hands-on building with Legos and the EV3 brick. We also learned how to split up tasks to get everything done.
Basic Challenges
Project: Basic Challenges
Course: COSMOS 2022 Robotics
Duration: July 10th 2021 - July 27th 2021
Objective: Complete basic challenges
Type of Project: Individual Project
We built a basic robot with wheels and a ball at the backside of the robot, so it could turn, and completed challenges like moving in a square and spinning around in a circle. Skills I used in this project were learning how to code in robotC. There were individual constraints for each challenge that required precision.
