Mighty Oak Student Assembly
SUNY ESF'S Official Undergraduate Student Government
SUNY ESF'S Official Undergraduate Student Government
Founded in 1912 as the ESF Undergraduate Student Association (USA), the now Mighty Oak Student Assembly (MOSA) continues to represent the student voice as the undergraduate student government on campus. MOSA works diligently to promote the social, academic, cultural, and professional interests of the student body.
ESF's student clubs and organizations are overseen and supported by MOSA through the student activity fee along with OAC (Oakie's Activity Council- MOSA's programming board) and MOSAIC (MOSA's Intersectional Collective) who each plan community-wide activities, programming, and events.
MOSA is continually looking for more members to promote inclusivity, expression, creativity, freedom, and the pursuit of academic and environmental excellence.
If you are looking to become a leader on campus, to help make decisions on behalf of your fellow Mighty Oak, join us!
a message from MOSA President, Daniel Vera:
Hello Mighty Oaks,
On behalf of the Mighty Oak Student Assembly (MOSA), welcome to ESF!
Since 1912, MOSA has proudly served as the official undergraduate student government, amplifying student voices, addressing concerns, and working to build a more inclusive and empowered campus community. As we begin our 114th session, we’re committed to promoting transparency, strengthening communication between representatives and students, collaborating with clubs to find solutions that work for everyone, and most importantly, putting students first. This year will bring meaningful change to both MOSA and our campus. We’ll need to work together to ensure every student has the opportunity to thrive in the place we all call home. There’s a lot ahead, but we’ll take it on together.
ESF has given me the chance to grow as a leader and connect with a community I truly feel part of. Whether it’s through student government, clubs, sports, or another path, I encourage you to take that leap and try something new. ESF is a vibrant, welcoming campus, and I have no doubt you’ll find your place here. Don’t hesitate to stop by and say hello, we’re excited to meet you and proud to welcome you into the ESF family.
Congratulations once again, and welcome to ESF!
Sincerely,
Daniel Vera
