Education for Sustainable Democracy explores how we can prepare the next generation for informed civic engagement, environmental stewardship, and the development of a more just and peaceful world. Episodes feature interviews with leaders, innovators, and scholars in civic and environmental education. You’ll hear about new classroom-based and online practices that generate students’ involvement in public issues, what research tells us about how to broaden young people’s engagement in environmental issues, and more.

The show's host and producer is Brett Levy, a researcher of civic and environmental education and an associate professor at the University at Albany, State University of New York. Brett has also taught at the University of Wisconsin, where he was a visiting assistant professor, and at the University of Michigan, where he earned his doctorate.
