The School Council Annual General Meeting will be held on November 19th. The Agenda will be available on SchoolZone on Tuesday November 18th. The meeting will be hosted in-person at the school starting at 6:00 PM, with a meeting link posted should you wish to attend virtually.
The AGM is a great opportunity to meet with other families, to learn about our school council and different roles, and the key priorities for the school council in the 2025-2026 school year.
There is a lot of information out there about the new K to 6 curriculum. Parents are encouraged to make your voice heard as it relates to the education of our children.

Teachers and administrators around Edmonton Public School, and here at Escuela Mill Creek, have been attending professional development sessions to support the delivery of the new K-3 ELA and new Math curriculum in September and the new K-6 Health and Wellness curriculum.
A couple of the documents we have been working through may be of interest to families. Here is the curriculum
implementation timeline from Alberta Education, a document that shows the months and year that the next
phases of the new curriculum will be both piloted and implemented. Additionally, this information report from
the school division describes the actions undertaken to ensure that schools are as prepared as possible for a
successful new curriculum implementation in the Fall.
Social Event Coordinator - Nov 20th 2025
We’re excited to share an update on our Social Event Coordinator role! As Sra. Tatiana steps down at the end of this school year. We’re working to ensure a smooth transition so our school events continue to thrive.
This year, several volunteers will have the opportunity to shadow the current coordinator during our six main events and learn the full process.
Beginning in September 2026, the role will be shared among four volunteers:

Glow Dance & Graduations Coordinator
Stage Coordinator
Fiesta Outfits Coordinator
