The Escondido Union High School District (EUHSD) is a public school district located in Escondido, California, serving grades 9 through 12. Established in 1894, it has a rich history that reflects the growth and development of the Escondido community. With an enrollment over 6,300 students for the 2024–25 school year, the district is led by Superintendent Jon Petersen. EUHSD’s mission is to empower every student to graduate prepared for college, career, and life through excellence in learning.
The district includes three comprehensive high schools—Escondido High School, Orange Glen High School, and San Pasqual High School—as well as several alternative and specialized campuses. These include Del Lago Academy, which focuses on applied sciences and STEM education; Valley High School, a continuation school; and Escondido Adult School, which offers lifelong learning opportunities to the community.
