+ Escape the Lost Pyramid worked because Ubisoft Blue Byte presented a series of challenges that a real-life escape room could not create. They used fire, projectiles, and a ton of climbing. There was only one puzzle that could be completely recreated in a real-life escape room.

+ Escape the Lost Pyramid leaned heavily on immersive adventure. The puzzles were in trying to maneuver our avatars through the virtual space. It was less puzzley in a traditional escape room sense. This format, however, played towards the strengths of a virtual space.

Using HTC Vive headsets and standard first generation Vive controllers, your team begins in a museum setting where you will learn about your mission to embody a group of lost explorers, using the Animus, and guide them out of a treacherous, booby-trapped pyramid.

Once your team has chosen cosmetic items and learned the controls, you are quickly transported into the pyramid. If you are playing with four people you will be separated into two duos, each group mirroring the puzzles of the other until the end of the game.

Despite my issues with the hardware, I think this is a really cool format for escape room-type experiences and I can't wait to play the next one in the series Beyond Medusa's Gate. I would love to see other IPs get adapted into co-op VR experiences as well. I can imagine exploring Bioshock's Rapture with a group of friends, solving puzzles and sneaking around a Big Daddy.

It was like being in a real adventure movie solving real mystery in the escape room game. It was super fun and way beyond expectation (it was too real than i thought). The staffs were super nice and patience with us that were not good in gadgets and game too. Thank you!

In the game, 2 or 4 players team up and have 60 minutes to find a way out of the pyramid of Nebka. Players will live a larger-than-life adventure. An adventure that would be far too dangerous or just impossible to live in real life.[1] Each player dons either an Oculus Rift or HTC Vive VR headset, and the entire experience is completed within an hour. Players have their own tile to walk around on that's roughly the side of one's physical walking space, although they also have the ability to teleport with the game's simple one-button control scheme.[2]

The VR experience was fun for the players and entertaining for the family member spectating! The game wasn't completely like the Assassin's Creed game, I would say more like a pyramid escape room/Indiana Jones style, but still incredible with fantastic quality. The area is spaced out and comfortable and every single one of the staff members were so polite and easy going! We will definitely return with the rest of the family!
