School events

This page contains all events that are considered school events that we host either at Escambia or at a different establishment that the whole unit participates in.

School events that ROTC hosts or participates in are Military Ball, Annual Military Inspection (AMI), Memorial ceremony, ASVAB, and Gator Games.

MILITARY BALL

Military Ball is a formal, social event for our cadets and their guests that the unit holds at the end of the year.

We hold this event to recognize the units accomplishments as a whole and overall get together and celebrate an outstanding year.

AMI

AMI, or the Annual Military Inspection, is a yearly inspection of the unit, conducted by the area manager.

This inspection is conducted to ensure the the unit and instructors are doing everything that they are supposed to be doing.

GATOR GAMES

Gator games is an event we host annually that is essentially our "field day". Gator games is held entirely outside and hosts multiple physical events.

Examples of these events are tug of war, sack race, 100 meter dash, knot tying, and much more!

ASVAB TESTING

This test is available to assess your General Science, Arithmetic Reasoning, Word Knowledge, Paragraph Comprehension, Mathematics Knowledge, Electronics Information, Auto Information, Shop Information, Mechanical Comprehension, and Assembling Objects abilities.

ASVAB stands for the All Services Vocational Aptitude Battery and the testing is a schoolwide test. The ASVAB is an optional test but important asset to those trying to figure out their futures.

MEMORIAL CEREMONY

The Memorial Ceremony is an event that we hold every year to honor the service and sacrifice of all those who have served in any branch of the United States. Not only for all fallen soldiers, but also for our fallen alumni who used to walk the same halls as us.

This is a very somber event that has been conducted here at Escambia High School for 59 outstanding years.
