Job Exploration & Transition Training
The Transition Navigators Program is a new career exploration and transition
services program for youth with disabilities ages 15-21. The program emphasizes
paid on the job training. We provide support for youth to navigate the transition
process, explore their interests, gain employment related skills, and obtain work- based learning.
Program Overview
Who is this program for:
• Youth with disabilities ages 15-21
• Youth should be prepared to have transportation to and from the start and end location.
• Transition Navigators programming is targeted for all youth with disabilities that, with training, will have the ability and desire to be employed.
• Programming is a great starting point for youth with disabilities who are looking to gain awareness, readiness skills, and explore their employment interests.
• The 4-week program includes paid work experience: Youth should have a bank account, Photo ID and Social Security Card that will need to be shown on day four, so that they can undergo the hiring process.
