Main Divisions
Progression within the Met:
ERPT is the first division you will be a part of. However there are other divisions which specialize in different things which could interest you as an officer. Take a read below about different divisions to see which route you would like to take.
RPU - Roads Policing Unit:
The Roads Policing Unit is highly trained with pursuits and driving at high speeds. RPU can perform certain manoeuvres, such as PITS, which can be critical in some pursuits where threat to life is high. Officers within this division are trained to high standards in communications over radios and road knowledge.
Check out RPU-info in the Metropolitan Police Discord for more information on this division.
SCO-19:
SCO-19 is the most elite division within the Met Police. This division consists of heavily armed officers that are equipped with guns such as Assault Rifles & Snipers Rifles, they are trained to deal with challenging tasks on a daily basis, such as:
⁌ Hostage Situations
⁌ Dealing with heavily armed suspects
⁌ Breaching buildings & more
Check out SCO-19-info in the Metropolitan Police Discord for more information on this division
Sub-Divisions:
NPAS - National Police Air Service:
The National Police Air Service provides all police officers with air support. NPAS is always on standby to assist ground units with a wide variety of tasks. This includes searches for suspects and missing persons, vehicle pursuits, public order, counter terrorism and firearms incidents. NPAS have state of the art cameras built in the supplied helicopters to assist with these tasks, these cameras include togglable night vision and heat thermals.
Check out NPAS-info in the Metropolitan Police Discord for more information on this division.
COP - College Of Policing:
The College Of Policing is the division that specializes in the training process of new officers wishing to join the force. This will consist of interviews, training and examination of new officers, then either passing them into the force or failing them.
Check out COP-info in the Metropolitan Police Discord for more information on this division.
Strikes and Punishments Process:
Strikes and punishments can change throughout your MPS career, this is because each division has their own punishments and reasons for punishments. Within ERPT strikes and punishments can lead to certain things such as:
⁌ Demotions.
⁌ MPS Suspensions
⁌ MPS Removals.
Reasons as to why you can get punished within ERPT:
⁌ Wearing incorrect uniform.
⁌ Misuse of police issued equipment.
⁌ Not reaching completion count/doing ridealong hours. (Advanced Officers+)
⁌Not meeting minimum hours a week. (5 for Probationary - Senior Response Officer)
However punishments don't always stay on your record, after a certain amount of time you can appeal the punishment by messaging your Divisional Command/appealing on the home page of the ERPT Hub, or by just clicking this link HERE.
