I work on topics in Discrete Geometry.
Lately I've been working on problems related to the theorems of Radon, Helly and Carathéodory. These theorems deal with the combinatorics of families of points or convex sets in Euclidean d-dimensional space.
Another area of interest is equipartition problems, which involve dividing space in a particular way so that each part is equal in some sense. A classic example of this is the Ham-Sandwich theorem.
2013: PhD in Mathematics, University College London
2009: MSc in Mathematical Sciences, Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México
2007: Bachelor's in Mathematics, Universidad de Guanajuato
I enjoy jogging and have completed a half-marathon, with the goal of eventually running a full marathon.
I'm also a fan of playing Go, though I’m not very good at it.
Other hobbies include hiking, basketball, drinking coffee, eating good food, and traveling.
