I am passionate about mentoring and working with undergraduate geology students. I work to bring 1-2 undergraduate students with me each year to assist with my field work. All students working with me are encouraged to pursue individual research projects that can be presented at a national conference the following fall or spring semester. Following field work, I aid students in preparing presentations for conferences, interpreting data, involve them in writing manuscripts, and help with grad school/job applications. I love to see my mentees grow and gain confidence in their field, analytical, and critical thinking skills so they can be prepared to take the next step in their career!
