During the Fall of 2021, I have begun work with Texas A&M's Sketch Recognition Laboratory, where I will be doing research regarding machine learning and its potential applications.
In March of 2022, I completed a research paper titled "Thematic and Authorship Analysis of ASEE Gulf-Southwest Conference Papers" that was submitted to and presented at the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) Gulf-Southwest Annual Conference. The paper utilized various analysis techniques using Python through Google Colab to identify various trends existing in papers that have historically been submitted to the same conference.
Through this experience, not only was I able to learn new data analysis skills and improve my writing abilities, but I was also given the opportunity to gain valuable experience talking about and presenting my work. As I continue into working on my final thesis, these skills will no doubt continue to be improved for my future career.
