I am an instructional designer and eLearning developer. My intrigue in instructional design peaked when I found that I really enjoyed mentoring new teachers and providing professional development to the staff.
My focus is on the fun part of learning! I find unique ways to teach experiences without the learner knowing. I pride myself in my knowledge of andragogy and designing creative, learner-centered, and effective eLearning modules.
I believe in the philosophy of learning through adventures and I try to bring that philosophy into my design and development as much as possible.
Analyze: Identify learning needs and goals to bridge the gap between the current state and the desired state, and connect the dots to ensure effective behavior change.
Design: Collaborate with SMEs and stakeholders to establish learning objectives, most effective modality, and seat time. Determine activities and exercises and draft additional deliverables such as design docs and storyboards.
Develop: Create course content utilizing different authoring tools and engaging interactions to effectively achieve the learning objectives.
Evaluate: Utilize knowledge checks and graded quizzes to determine if the learning objectives were met, then determine if the course was effective based on behavioral outcome.
🎮 My go-to self care is streaming video games. I play all different kinds of video game genres but my favorite are the strategic action and puzzle games.
🥁 I've had the coolest past jobs. I was on the NFL Baltimore Marching Raven's drum line for several seasons. Performing for 70K people was a thrilling experience!
🎤 Another past job I held was Sound Technician at Medieval Times: Dinner and Tournament. I controlled all of the music and sound effects of the entire show. It was a very fun and exciting adventure to be a part of.
