I am a Senior Researcher at the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies in Cologne, Germany. I obtained my PhD from the University of Konstanz with a thesis on “Public opinion and social investment: How political-institutional context shapes support and opposition towards expanding childcare”. I studied economics and political science at the University of Cologne and Universidad de Córdoba, Argentina.

My research is rooted in the intersection of comparative political economy, public policy and comparative politics. I currently study the politics of growth models, macroeconomic policy, welfare state and education reform, the latter with a focus on early childhood education and care. The focus of my work lies on the study of public opinion and political parties, how both interact with other actors including interest groups and the media, and how this affects democratic policymaking.

Occasionally, I write updates about my research on Bluesky and Twitter.
