Meet the Team

Emma Barnes is a Freshman at Purdue University studying Biology on the Pre-Vet track. She hopes to one day open her own small animal veterinary clinic. In her free time, she enjoys playing volleyball, reading, going to concerts and spending time with friends. Her favorite part of the project was performing PCR and gel electrophoresis.   

Sophia Chavez is currently studying Cell, Molecular, and Developmental Biology at Purdue University. Her goal is to become a Pediatric Rheumatologist in hopes to help find a cure for lupus. She enjoys spending time listening to music, watching musical, singing, and being with friends and family. Her favorite part of the project was pipetting the samples and going to the site to collect the samples.

Sasha Dunkirk is a Freshman at Purdue University majoring in Cell, Molecular, and Developmental Biology. Her goal is to get her Master's and become a Genetic Counselor. Sasha enjoys spending time outdoors, skiing, playing guitar, cooking, and hanging out with friends. Her favorite part of the project was going to collect the soil samples at the garden.
