one day in d.c.

During  a work trip to Washington D.C. I carved out some time to photograph the beautiful monuments and scenes. It happened to be September 11th so right after work I jumped on the Metro and headed to the Pentagon to visit the 9/11 memorial. I missed George W. Bush laying a wreath by a couple hours. I wandered the National Mall well into the night and then got up early to be at the Lincoln Memorial by sunrise where I made some more photos before going back to work. These quick efforts show a photographer's ability to capture beautiful photos on assignment as opposed to a portfolio built over a lifetime.
