Really great websites for stories and expert opinions that I read regularly:
Project Syndicate (www.project-syndicate.org). Original commentaries from Kenneth Rogoff, Brad Delong, Dani Rodrik, Joseph Stiglitz, Ricardo Hausmann and many more, mainly regarding global economic and political issues.
Chris Blattman's blog (www.chrisblattman.com). News and updates about Development Economics and really interesting stuff.
I have authored a four-chapter textbook module titled "An Unconventional Introduction to Economics" that addresses at the outset both the promise of markets and the prospect of market failure. The module is available on Tophat (https://tophat.com/). I combine it with other etexts and interactive tools from Tophat for my Foundations of Economics course. The whole package, including quizzing functionality similar to clickers but through students' mobile devices, only costs students $30 per term.
