The Authenticity and Perception Lab ("APL") 🍏 led by Dr. Erica R. Bailey, is dedicated to exploring the psychological construct of authenticity and its broader implications on self- and other-perception. Through a combination of experimental and archival analyses, the lab investigates how individuals experience and express authenticity in various contexts, examining the factors that influence perceptions of the self in both personal and social spheres. The lab's research aims to uncover the mechanisms behind authentic behavior and its role in shaping interpersonal dynamics and societal norms, providing insight into the ways authenticity impacts human interaction and psychological well-being.
