The sample assessments I have attached, which were utilized during one of my lessons for Husker High School Day, demonstrate my ability to effectively collect, analyze, and apply student data to enhance engagement and support learning outcomes. These examples reflect my commitment to using data-driven strategies to inform instruction, monitor student progress, and adapt lessons to meet diverse learning needs. By thoughtfully incorporating assessment results into my teaching practice, I strive to create an environment where every student has the opportunity to succeed and remain actively engaged in the learning process.
For an assignment in ALEC 405, we were tasked with creating two formative assessments and two summative assessments to accompany a lesson we taught in the ALEC 405 Lab. The assessments I developed for my Lab 5 lesson, titled "Exploring Digestive Systems in Ruminant Animals," demonstrate my ability to design tools that effectively measure student learning and understanding. Through these assessments, students had the opportunity to showcase what they learned during the lesson, providing valuable insight into their comprehension of the material. Additionally, these assessments highlight my skills in using student feedback to inform instruction and ensure that learning objectives are being met.
