Here are highlights of some amazing organizations I've been involved in, which are great resources for undergraduates interested in or starting out in economics. Feel free to reach out to chat about any of these!
The Stanford Economic Review is the only undergraduate economics publication at Stanford University, run by an editorial staff comprised entirely of undergraduates. We publish both research articles in a yearly journal and shorter commentaries on a rolling basis. I served as a co-Editor-in-Chief from 2023 to 2025.
The Stanford Math Tournament (SMT) is a high school math tournament run by students at Stanford University. I coordinated the General test in 2022, wrote the 2023 Power Round (on Game Theory), and the 2024 Power Round (on Voting Theory). It's a great experience as an organizer, volunteer, or participant. The SMT t-shirts are great too!
The Carroll Round at Georgetown is one of the only undergraduate economics conferences in existence. Instead of only having an undergraduate session like other conferences, the Carroll Round is ran by undergraduates for undergraduates. It's one of the best-organized and most enjoyable conferences I've been to. In addition, the Carroll Round only requires a modest registration fee that covers both housing and (a large majority of) food for the entire stay, and financial support is available from the organizers.Â
