與EMBA樂活海洋社們於基隆碧砂漁港齊聚，展開了一場意義非凡的海洋生態行動。此次活動延續了 6 月的魚苗放流與淨灘精神，這次特別補放當時尚未成熟的「石雕魚苗」，象徵我們對環境永續承諾的實踐與延續。活動中，大家一同協助魚苗放流，親身參與海洋復育工作，不僅增進了對海洋生態保育的理解，也再次凝聚了北科大家人的團結與行動力。儘管活動簡單，卻充滿溫度與意義，短短一兩小時內，大家都留下了珍貴的回憶與對海洋深深的關懷。Together with the EMBA Lohas Ocean Club, we gathered at Bisha Fishing Port in Keelung for a meaningful marine ecological initiative. This activity continued the spirit of the fish fry release and beach cleanup held in June, this time focusing on releasing the "stonefish fry" that were not yet mature during the previous event—a gesture symbolizing our ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability.During the event, everyone participated in the release of the fry, taking part firsthand in the marine restoration effort. This not only deepened our understanding of marine ecological conservation but also reinforced the unity and collective action of the NTUT family. Though the activity was brief, lasting just one to two hours, it was filled with warmth and meaning, leaving us with precious memories and a heartfelt concern for the ocean.

本實驗室三位碩士生 劉韋志、吳宜倫、蕭至佑 於 瑞典舉辦的 HCII 2025（第27屆國際人機互動研討會）發表研究成果，並成功收錄於研討會論文集中。Three master's students from our lab, including Liu WeiChi, Wu YiLun, and Hsiao ChiYou, have successfully presented their research at HCII 2025—the 27th International Conference on Human-Computer Interaction, held in Sweden. Their work was also published in the conference proceedings.

This initiative allowed us to contribute to elderly health care, improve the well-being of diving instructors, and support marine conservation. 研究生 蕭至佑 同學 在 李育奇教授 的指導下 ， 參加 「2024中華民國情境智能學會生專題及研究成果競賽-研究生組」，《二胡演奏時的坐姿對肌肉活動度的影響》，表現優異，榮獲第一名殊榮。Graduate student 蕭至佑, under the guidance of Professor 李育奇, participated in the「Ambient Intelligence Association of Taiwan 2024」and presented the paper titled "The Impact of Sitting Posture on Muscle Activity During Erhu Performance." The paper was highly praised and was awarded first place.

研究生 蕭至佑 同學 在 李育奇教授 的指導下，於「2024中國工業工程學會年會暨學術研討會」發表論文「不同姿勢對二胡演奏時左右側的上肢肌肉活動度分析」，並榮獲 勞動與職業安全衛生 場次的 最佳論文獎。專題生 楊凱婷、黃鈺涵、邱翔萍 同學 在 李育奇教授 的指導下，於「2024中國工業工程學會年會暨學術研討會」發表論文 「評估不同外部人機介面設計對於人類駕駛員在會車時之影響」，並榮獲 認知人因工程 場次的 最佳論文獎。恭喜所有得獎同學與指導教授，這些成果充分展現了研究室成員的努力，期許未來繼續發光發熱！Graduate student 蕭至佑, under the guidance of Professor 李育奇, presented the paper "Analysis of Upper Limb Muscle Activity on the Left and Right Sides during Erhu Playing in Different Postures" at the 「2024 China Institue of Industrial Engineers Annual Conference」and won the Best Paper Award in the Occupational Safety and Health session.Undergraduate students 楊凱婷, 黃鈺涵, and 邱翔萍, also guided by Professor 李育奇, presented their paper "Evaluating the Impact of Different External Human-Machine Interface Designs on Human Drivers During Overtaking" and won the Best Paper Award in the Cognitive Human Factors Engineering session.Congratulations to all the award-winning students and their supervising professor! These achievements are a testament to the hard work of our lab members, and we look forward to continued success in the future!

Natthajira Yeh (葉旭美) attended the Asia-Pacific Industrial Engineering and Management Systems (APIEMS) Conference in Chiang Mai, Thailand, from November 10-14, 2024, where she presented her paper, "The Prevalence of Work-Related Musculoskeletal Disorders Symptoms among Mat Weavers in Northeastern Thailand," co-authored with her advisor, Professor Yu-Chi Lee. Her talk addressed the impact of musculoskeletal disorders on mat weavers in the region, highlighting approaches to improve worker health and well-being.

Three master's students from the Industrial Engineering and Management Department at NTUT have joined our lab. Their names are Chen MinZhe, Yang JiaHui, and Lin JiaYu, and they are expected to graduate by July 2026.

阮氏賢、孫睿琦，2024年全國工業工程與管理大學生專題論文與技術報告競賽-人因工程與設計組佳作，文章：不同表情搭配不同口罩顏色對面部表情認知與人際心理舒適距離的影響，2024。(指導教授:李育奇) The students were awarded in the competition for their paper, "The Impact of Different Expressions with Different Mask Colors on Facial Expression Recognition and Interpersonal Psychological Comfort Distance."

XIAO LIU QIU FIELD TRIP
The Human-Computer Interaction class went on an exciting field trip to Xiaoliuqiu, organized by our professor and with support from our lab members. Students interviewed elderly people using the ADL questionnaire, measured their feet with a foot imprinter, and watched a scuba diving instructor at work. The students also used the NMQ questionnaire to investigate the prevalence of Work-Related Musculoskeletal Disorders (WMSDs) among the scuba diving instructors. These activities helped students connect more deeply with the class content and also enhanced the relationships among students. Students and professor all enjoyed this trip a lot!

The advisor arranged a training session with an IMU sensor specialist for students, focusing on the use of the Xsens Dot. This expert covered all the processes, from software setup, product features, data interpretation, and file management, ensuring the student really learned the device and software use.

The advisor organized a training workshop led by an Electromyography (EMG) specialist, focused on the effective use of the Biosignalsplux EMG Sensor. The expert covered the entire process, from software installation to data interpretation, ensuring the students gained a thorough understanding of how to work with the EMG sensor for their projects.

Thank you to the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management (IEM) at National Taipei University of Technology (NTUT) for assisting us in establishing our lab. The lab was initiated by Yu-Chi Lee, Ph.D. in room 636 of Hong-Yue Technology Building. He named this lab, "Ergonomics for Design and Innovation" and designed an creative logo. Our lab eager to develop new project and research that could benefit and enhance society.
