The new semester begins. Are you adapting well? Today is October first, and school started almost a month ago. The lab welcomed one Ph.D. student, 潘采萱Pan,Cai-xuan(Pan) , and four master's students. These master's students include 李彤, 施勝維, and Ephraim De Gracia (F) from the Philippines. Each new student comes from a different school and department.
In September,Pan Cai-Hsuan led the master's students in cleaning the lab during the second week of school. We held a welcome dinner at Alleycat's Pizza on September 16th to break the ice. Simultaneously, We updated the lab website. The site became simpler, more modern, and more stylish.
The lab gained new people and new changes in just one month. Hope students enjoy happy and fulfilling lives this new semester.
To celebrate the graduation of our lab’s first batch, we had a dinner at 饗食天堂 in Banqiao with our advisor and all lab members. It was a warm evening filled with smiles and heartfelt talks.
Time passed so quickly, and we were all thankful for everything we experienced together. Big thanks to our professor for creating a lab that feels like family. We hope to meet again in the future and share more special moments.
On June 6, 2025, our lab’s first batch officially graduated during the IEM Department’s ceremony, a meaningful and memorable milestone. We sincerely thank our professor for the support and guidance throughout their journey. The graduates also expressed their appreciation to the juniors and professor for the lovely gifts and flowers that made the day even more special. We wish all our graduates the best in their next chapter.
On March 8-9, 2025, at the 32nd ERGONOMICS SOCIETY OF TAIWAN ANNUAL MEETING AND INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE, one of our lab members had the opportunity to present his work. This event provided our lab members with a valuable chance to learn from other researchers and explore cutting-edge topics in the field.
On Tuesday, January 14, 2025, we celebrated the end of the semester with our advisor, a fellow professor, their students, and our lab team. The evening was filled with delicious food, laughter, and meaningful conversations.
It was a nice chance to relax, catch up, and make some good memories. Here’s to more happy memories together! 😊

On Friday, October 4th, 2024, we had a wonderful dinner at Broccoli Beer 韓國餐酒食堂 to welcome our new master's students and celebrate with the whole lab team. Another lab joined us for the celebration, making the evening even more special. It was a great time filled with laughter and good conversations. We hope our new members have an amazing journey ahead with us! 💝✨
On Tuesday, June 18th, 2024, the advisor and students had a celebratory dinner at Stan & Cat 史丹猫美式餐庁 in Ximending. We gathered to celebrate the end of our first year in the master's program. We celebrated our hard work and success in completing the semester and acknowledging that we got through the challenges of the past year. 🍝🍔
On May 3rd 2024, our lab went mountain climbing at 金面山 with our lab mates! It was challenging, but the amazing views made it all worth it. Then, we all enjoyed dinner together and had a great time chatting and hanging out together at Pizza creAfe'客意比薩. We're so excited for our next fun activity! 🎉🌟
The Ergonomics for Design and Innovation Lab has its first Christmas tree this year. Students decorated it and put it by the door, making the lab look ready for Christmas.

The lab holds weekly meetings where each student presents articles of interest, followed by advice and discussions led by the advisor. These sessions are designed to help narrow down and refine topics for their master's thesis.
These are the plants of each student in the lab. The professor assigned each student to buy their favorite plants and take care of them. These plants gave a good atmosphere and motivated the students to come to the lab more often.
On December 1st 2023, the advisor and students have a dinner together at Second Floor Cafe Breeze Taipei Station. This is to welcome the first batch of master's degree students in Ergonomics for Design and Innovation Lab.
