At the beginning of February, me and my friend Ivana went to Spanish city Badajoz. Immediately upon our arrival I met my host family, with whom I lived for a week. First day we visited local high school and we saw the lesson of biology there. Second day we tasted traditional cuisine and get typical breakfast food – churros. Then we visited small border town with Portuguese culture Olivenza. On Wednesday we went sightseeing in a historically city Merida and we visited an interesting museum. On Thursday we went to Los Barruecos. Los Barruecos is a natural monument, where a famous TV series Game of Thrones was filmed. Last day we had a small after party with our new Spanish friends and after the dinner we went home. The whole week we had really good option to practice English language, to meet nice people and to taste a lot of traditional meals. I was very happy in the family where I stayed. We still keep in touch and I hope our friendship will last in the future.

Impressions
At the beginning of February, I had the chance to meet with my Spanish friend again, who lived six months ago in our house and I get to know the beauty of Spain. I was afraid before we left the Czech Republic like everyone else who doesn´t know where he is going to. But at the end everything was fine. The trip showed me the beauty of historic Spain, I tasted special food for example “Chocolate de churros“ or slimy snails. I got to know Spanish system of education and their cultural habits. I was most impressed by their carnival parades with costumes and masks. I wondered how many people take part in the carnival every year. I enjoyed the trip except for a few misunderstandings that resulted from cultural differences and my not so perfect English. I’m grateful I could be the part of this ERASMUS+ experience.
