The VITA consortium compiled a state of the art report of whether and how, Virtual & Augmented Reality is used in Education, in particular in the VITA partner countries: Czech Republic, Greece, Malta and Romania.
The VITA consortium defined and generated a curriculum aimed at attracting and engaging adults to acquire basic digital skills. This curriculum is structured into four (4) training modules.
The VITA consortium defined a number of case-studies and storyboards to be able to implement a set of relevant VAR case-studies relevant to training in basic digital skills.
This output consits of a number of running demos of VAR case-studies that can be used by adult learners and trainers. In reality, the VITA partners have found the case-studies so relevant for reaching to the project's target audience that a total of 13 AR and 6 VR case -studies were developed and not just six as originally planned. The individual running case-studies are available for free download from the VITA Toolbox repository.
This output consists of course content presented on an e-Learning platform with relevant content for guiding Adult Trainers on how to exploit VAR technology for attracting and engaging adult learners to acquire 21st Century basic Digital Skills. The e-learning content has been implemented in English, Romanian, Greek & Czech languages can be seen over here.

This output is a digital VAR-based training toolbox for use by Adult education stakeholders to attract and train adults in 'basic digital skills' which are considered as one of the 21st Century life skills. The aim of the Toolbox is to help adult trainers make second chance learning more friendly and less threatening to adults that want to catch up.
IO8 is a framework aimed at presenting a systematic yet concise approach of how Adult Educators/Trainers can select relevant content for different adult learners depending on their needs related to 21st Century Basic Digital Skills needs. This framework is available on the Toolbox repository.
