My name is Gergana Arangelova, 33 years old from Sofia. I was born in a small town in central Bulgaria - Karlovo. I finished my secondary education and in 2009 I moved to live and study in Sofia.
I graduated from Sofia University, majoring in Library and Information Science. In 2013 I graduated with a Bachelor's degree, and a year later I continued the same education and completed a Master's degree - "Cultural Policy" again at Sofia University.
For 9 years I have been working at the Central Medical Library, Medical University - Sofia. My position is "librarian" in the department "periodicals". I also hold the position of "customer relations expert", directly related to our work with pharmaceutical companies.
Libraries are my vocation and my work brings me real fulfillment.

Mireia Vilaspasa Marsan

I currently work in the Central Technical Unit (UTC) of the Library and Documentation unit of the University of Lleida (Catalonia). 

I am 46 years old, I live in Lleida and I spent my childhood in the north of Catalonia, a place of which I have very good memories and where I try to go whenever I can.

I studied the diploma in Library Science and Documentation at the Escola Universitària Jordi Rubió i Balaguer in Barcelona (currently the Faculty of Information and Audiovisual Media, of the University of Barcelona), and the degree in Documentation and the degree in Communication at Open University of Catalonia (UOC).
My day-to-day work is spent on topics related to Alma and Primo VE (ExLibris), managing the unit's website (https://bid.udl.cat/) and topics related to the training of users, as well as the management of Springshare applications (LibGuides and LibCal), in addition to creating materials to publish on social networks, specially, Twitter. Eager to learn!

Vera Batalha

Director of the Information and Documentation Services (Library and Archive Services) of the University Institute of Lisbon (Iscte) since 2019. Head of Division at INA - National Institute of Administration (Portuguese Central Public Administration) from 1998 to 2018, being responsible for the Documentation Centre, the European Documentation Centre, the Archive, and the Publishing Unit. Co-author of several conference papers and reports. Participation in several co-operation projects of the European Information Networks (European Commission), taking part in several pan-European working groups created by the European Commission.

Mauro Caselli

Mauro Caselli is director of the Library of Humanistic Studies at the University of Trieste. He has a degree in contemporary philosophy and is an expert in the management of ancient books. He is also a writer: he has published several volumes of poetry and fiction, with which he has won some important literary prizes. In the past he was a good middle distance runner. With age, he prefers to cover long distances on foot or by bicycle.

I work as a reference librarian in Masaryk university, so main part of my job is to be with the users – students and academics and help them with a wide variety of problems. My hobbies are reading and watching movies made by books 😊. We can talk about academic libraries, doctoral students or just about yoga, travelling or cats.

Carina Ekengren

As a librarian at the Library of Pedagogy in the University of Gothenburg, Sweden, my primary focus is on serving the academic community and providing effective and inspiring library services. I am responsible for managing collections and offering guidance to students, working towards creating an inclusive and enriching study environment. When I'm not at the library, you may find me getting my hands dirty in the garden or passionately supporting my favorite football team. I have a keen interest in the dynamic changes happening in the world and their implications for academia. My aspiration is to transform the library into a hub of inspiration and intellectual growth, adapting to the evolving needs of our community.

Johanna Munkelt completed her Bachelor's degree in Library Science at University of Applied Sciences Cologne in 2018. From her studies, she moved to Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts, where she has been working as a librarian ever since. Her main areas of work are cataloguing, reference services and training, especially the introduction to literature research and the correct use of subject databases, as well as the support of the discovery system of the university library.

Svea Kaseorg

Svea Kaseorg is an Information Specialist at the University of Tartu. Having worked in the service department for eight years she has experience in working with library patrons daily, being a team manager and continously developing new and improved services for the patrons. As part of her current role at the library, she provides training and advice on information literacy, databases, reference managers and is a member of the Open Science workgroup with a focus on citizen science. Working in the biggest university in Estonia she is not only advocating for university members but the society as a whole, therefore providing training to university students, high school students and the general public if needed.

Stela Suhan

Since June 2021 I have been working in the Department of Libraries, Information and Open Science (DiBISO) at the University of Paris Saclay.
My missions are related to supporting the projects in developing of Open Science, especially in research data management and opening of data for humanities and social sciences.
Reporting to the head of the Data and Calls for Research Projects unit, I work closely with the Data Workshop and the Maison des Sciences de l'Homme (MSH-Paris Saclay) to promote and encourage Open Science and facilitate Open Access to research data at University of Paris-Saclay.
I am taking part in the creation and development of data services for PhD students and researchers. I support good data practices according to FAIR data principles (Findability, Accessibility, Interoperability, and Reuse of digital assets) through consultations, training, and collaborative initiatives.
I am keen on learning more about these topics in social sciences and humanities, especially because I am doing a PhD thesis in anthropology at the University of Paris Nanterre.

Rebecca-Annalena Ksoll

Guten Tag, my name is Rebecca and I’m 26 years old. Since 2018 I work at the University Library in Magdeburg, Germany. Our user field is wide-ranging due to our international students and staff members. I take an interest in learning about other libraries and their services. I am especially interested in methods to increase the ease of access and visibility of our library services.
Outside my work I ride and have almost 20 years of experience in equestrian sports.

My name is Karen. I work for University of Southern Denmark with registration of publications in the university’s CRIS system Pure and supports researchers with all their questions regarding Pure.
A big part of my job is also screening PhD thesis´s of plagiarism and offer support to PhD students about how to structure a thesis to comply with copy rights.
My job is mainly focused on how to make a researcher’s research known and I do that in different ways from teaching to working behind the scenes making their publications Open Access on SDUs research portal.

I have been responsible for the European Documentation Center of AUEB Library since 1993. EDCs are the oldest information relay, established by EC in 1963. Users’ training and coaching, as well as Library’s networking activities (e.g. Hellenic Economic Libraries Network) are among my responsibilities. I am also the institutional administrator for Turnitin software.
Since 2020, I participate in the Group of Librarians responsible to promote Open Science (OS) in Greek universities. The Group is coordinated by the Scholarly Communication Unit of the Hellenic Academic Libraries Consortium. I am also member of the newly established Groups of the Hellenic Open Science Initiative: “OS Εducation & Training” and “Upating OS National Plan”.
I have studied Greek philology and have participated in various conferences, seminars and meetings, e.g. the “1st Open Science Train the Trainer Bootcamp”, organized by OpenAIRE (6-10/6/2022). I have also written papers, focusing in European information and documentation.

I am a Librarian and currently serve as the Coordinator of the Library Service at the Institute of Geosciences, Universidade de Sao Paulo (USP). Previously, I held positions as Head of various divisions within the Technical Department of the Integrated Library System (DT-SIBi) at USP. I hold a Master’s degree in Information Science from USP and a Bachelor’s degree in Library Science from Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP). Throughout my career, I have gained valuable experience in information technology projects, specifically in the development of discovery systems and digital libraries. Additionally, I have been actively engaged in promoting open science and employing bibliometrics good practices approaches to analyze the scholarly production at USP.

Jenny Sjögren

I have worked as a librarian at the University of Gothenburg the last ten years. Before that, I studied literature, languages and economics. I also have a great interest for history and archeology. In my next life I would like to be an archeologist😊. During my twenties I lived abroad for some time in Paris and Berlin. Today I live on the island of Hisingen with my stubborn dachshund Rut. I enjoy yoga and cultural events in my spare time. I have travelled quite a lot in Europe, but I have never visited the Netherlands, so I consider this Erasmus- exchange to be a wonderful opportunity!

Andrea Solieri

Andrea Solieri is head of the working group on open access and research data management and manager of the university of Modena and Reggio Emilia current research information system. Beside open access to scientific publications and research data management, that are topics he has been dealing with for some years, his main activities concern bibliometrics and research assessment, both in STEMS and in SSH. He is also experienced in technology transfer and research project management related issues, as he has worked in the university research division for several years before getting to the university library system.
