Welcome to our ERASMUS project +
On the way to the future
The idea for this project, "On the way to the future" for European pupils and schools, came from the statistical data provided by the EC. Early leaving from education and training has been falling steadily in the EU since 2002, for both men and women: the drop from 17.0% in 2002 to 10.6% in 2017 constitutes steady progress in achievement of the Europe 2020 strategy target of 10%.
We would therefore like to participate actively in giving the necessary skills and motivation to young people who have dropped out and are returning to school or who are at risk of dropping out so that they obtain a diploma and their professional integration is facilitated.
"On the way to the future" is a project focused on creating a sense of belonging to the European Union through the knowledge of different cultural, religious and ethnic backgrounds and the promotion and revaluation of traditions and local cultures of different European countries, sometimes very distant.
The project aims to develop the skills, commitment and knowledge necessary to create a European school travel agency, focused on motivation, commitment and cultural or rural and economic tourism and to give our students the desire to continue.
In each school the project will concern students aged 16 – 22, some of them with fewer opportunities and teachers from high schools, vocational high schools or schools belonging to the "New Chance" networks established in 2012 in France.
The partner schools come from different regions of Europe (Romania, Croatia, Turkey and Bulgaria), being at a different level of socio-economic development, but having a high degree of awareness of the role of school and out-of-school education in the development of the spirit of society, initiative and entrepreneurship for future workers in the European area.
The objectives of this project are to promote innovation in teaching practices, excellence and internationalization, in particular through enhanced transnational cooperation between teachers, between the students carrying out the project aimed at promoting creativity, innovation, work-based learning and entrepreneurship by providing relevant and 'hands-on' learning.
The partners show a strong desire to adapt their teaching practices to students in order to avoid any dropout and clearly affirm their desire to discuss their practices and create teaching tools to share with as many educators as possible.
The project will be beneficial not only for the learners but also for the teachers. It will also make it possible to have a very positive impact for each region of Europe at the local, regional and national level. It will be the privileged vehicle for all goodwill and energies of each participating country.
Five schools will take part in this project : The French vocational school LYCEE ANNE VEAUTE from Castres, the Turkish MAVIKENT MUSTAFA AYSE ACARBULUT ANADOLU LISESI from Kumluca / Antalya, The Croatian SREDNJA SKOLA from Valpovo, the Bulgarian :PROFESIONALNA GIMNAZIYA
PO IKONOMICHESKA INFORMATIKA "DZHON ATANASOV from Targovishte and the Romanian LICEUL TEORETIC SOLOMON HALITA from Sângeorz-Băi,
In each school, mobilities will concern 16 students, aged 15-18 and 2-3 teachers of English, Business, maths, history, geography, etc.
During the project there will be activities to help the students visualize and hear about their future job or future opportunities and to help them think about the good conditions to keep students at school, working together during workshops.
They will try to understand what is required to succeed and will experiment moments to imagine their future job and how to make it.
Moreover, they will visit places in Bulgaria and Croatia and they will share what they have discovered with others and people via this site (their virtual travel agency) and through social media.( Facebook, Instagram, Whatsapp…)
They will also create videos to present their country and their life. Their Erasmus project will be a way to travel through Europe and to convince other students and people to come in each of their hometown or their region.
Through educational visits to local or regional sites, participants will experience a new lifestyle and will interchange on their lifestyle.
All these experiences will not only help students become aware of the richness that can spring from their meetings but will also help them make thoughtful choices for their future. The exchanges and eye-opening activities will help
the construction of a solid human understanding towards others.
The project is also aimed at raising awareness of the importance of accepting others, of becoming aware that each person has a story,a future and so many things to share and to learn from others in the world and of the importance of speaking English to have more opportunities to share the world with others.
The creation of common logos will help them be part of a “big European family” ( as said one of our students) and the logos will symbolize their unity despite their different origins.
The project will develop empathy and understanding towards each other if we want our world to survive in Harmony and Peace for the generations to come.
Finally, teachers will share some of their good practices in teaching and will build authentic connections and develop partnerships for future actions with students through the different conversations and activities.
