Student Beneficiaries
We have provided financial and academic support to 35 students, some of whom have gained admission to top senior high schools and universities across Ghana. Currently, we are providing financial and academic support to 18 student beneficiaries.
Parent Beneficiaries
Some of the parents of our beneficiaries have been provided with re-payable microfinance to invest in their trades. Parents have also been engaged in discussions to help them play active roles in the education of their children. From September 2024, parents will be trained in entrepreneurship and be provided with an annual opportunity to win grants through a competitive process to invest in their trades/businesses or to start/learn new trades/businesses.
Persons without Tertiary Education
We have financially sponsored two people to learn a trade. From September 2024, we will admit people without tertiary education into our Learn a Trade program, where we will provide them with entrepreneurship training. After the entrepreneurship training, the Learn a Trade beneficiaries will be provided with an annual opportunity to win grants through a competitive process to invest in their trades/bussinesses or to start/learn new trades/bussinesses.
Our student beneficiaries attend extra classes on weekends and some holidays.
We provide lessons in leadership, computer science, and the various subjects of study in the Ghanaian basic school syllabus to our selected student beneficiaries.
Parents of our Student beneficiaries periodically meet to discuss best practices that they can use to positively and actively contribute to the education of their children.
The Learn a Trade program and the Parents Association program will be organizing a joint annual Entrepreneurship Workshop to learn how to start and manage businesses/trades.
At the end of the workshop, both Parent Association members and Learn a Trade members will be provided with an opportunity to win grants through a competitive process to invest in their trades/bussinesses or to start/learn new trades/bussinesses.
We will host application workshops to provide application materials and application support to prospective applicants to our programs. The application workshops will be hosted during the application windows/cycles for our respective program(s).
