Kareem Weaver is a Co-Founder and Executive Director of FULCRUM, which partners with stakeholders to improve reading results for students, as well as the Oakland NAACP's 2nd Vice President and Chair of its Education Committee. Prior to his current role, he was an award-winning teacher and administrator in Oakland, California, and Columbia, South Carolina. His extensive advocacy and passion for evidence-based literacy instruction is currently featured in the film The Right to Read.
Jennifer Hogan is the K-6 ELA Humanities Curriculum Coordinator for Pentucket Regional School District in Massachusetts. Prior to joining Pentucket, Ms. Hogan served as a reading specialist for Lynn Public Schools and literacy fellow at Marblehead Public Schools. She is also a Massachusetts Department of Elementary & Secondary Education Literacy Champion and an expert in evidence-based literacy instruction.
Munro Richardson is the Executive Director of Read Charlotte, a community literacy initiative that unites educators, community partners, and families to improve children’s reading from birth to third grade. With a focus on using research and data to discover how to improve early literacy outcomes, Dr. Richardson works to help community partners use evidence-informed knowledge, practices, resources, and/or models in their work to improve early literacy outcomes.
