Dr. Nalliah hosted the first Synergy Symposium where research assistants were the keynote speakers. The event was a huge success.

Dr. Nalliah was an invited speaker at the Michigan Oral Health Coalition conference in May 2022. He spoke about "Six Myths about Special Needs Dentistry." Here he is pictured with fellow speaker and long time mentor and friend, Dr. Steve Perlman. Dr. Perlman is the Global Head of Special Olympics Dental - please read how he started the health branch (yes, Dental was the first health branch) of Special Olympics. The health branch of Special Olympics is now as big as Special Olympics itself!!!
At University of Michigan School of Dentistry Research Day 2022, our very own Dishant Patel won the first prize for the most competitive section - Faculty & PhD candidates!
University of Michigan School of Dentistry Research Day 2022 was a huge hit for our group. We had 9 posters accepted and were the largest represented research lab.
Included in these pics are Kushbu, Dishant, Romesh Nalliah, Pranshu, Jasmine, Yashaswi, Priyanka, Kanika, Oluwatobi, Di and Shahad.
In March 2022, Dr. Sarbin Ranjitkar visited Team Equity and the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. Dr. Ranjitkar graduated with Dr. Nalliah is the Class of 2000 at the University of Adelaide and he remains a faculty there.
At ADEA annual session in March 2022, Dr. Nalliah led two major sessions. One on how to critically review scientific literature and a special Dean's Panel. These photos are from the Dean's panel.
Panelists are Dean Nadeem Karimbux (Tufts), Dean Murdoch-Kinch (Indiana), Dean Reddy (UCSF), Dean Johnsen (recently retired former Dean of Iowa) and Sue Kimner (Director of Publishing at ADEA). And, of course, our very own Dr. Nalliah served as host and facilitator.
In March 2022, Pranshu Sharma & Di Xie presented our quality assurance project on Complete Denture fabrication at ADEA. Many people stopped by and their findings definitely turned a few heads!
In November 2021, Dr. Sahil Mhay (who is a member of Team Equity working remotely) visited University of Michigan School of Dentistry. He found many new friends, and among them was Dr. Jasmine Kaur.

Dr. Nalliah is always looking for opportunities to help grow and expand individuals he works with. This is mainly because he has been fortunate to have many guides and mentors throughout his career - here are two of his greatest mentors - Dr. Steve Stefanac and Dr. Nadeem Karimbux (Chicago, circa 2018).

ECG brought Dr. Peter Arsenault to University of Michigan School of Dentistry to speak about eye safety and the "bottom gap" in current safety glasses. His advocacy has helped changed OSHA laws forever.

Dr. Chu ("CH") is a world renown research on silver diamine fluoride and he's been doing this work for two decades - long before it was sexy. ECG brought Dr. Chu to present about his early work in the field at University of Michigan School of Dentistry. It was amazing to observe this conversation between CH (a global leader in the field) and Dr. Margherita Fontana who is an incredible researcher and our national expert on silver diamine fluoride.
Dr. Romesh P. Nalliah is being recorded for a continuing education course on opioid prescribing.
