These contraindications range from prescribed medical agents to over-the-counter topical agents. Keep in mind that this list is not exhaustive, it is important that no matter what species a session is for, you keep your PEMF professional informed about anything being used for the wellness of that client.
Implanted electronic devices - such as, but not limited to, pacemakers, defibrillators, and cochlear hearing devices
Pregnancy
Blood clots or active bleeding
Organ transplants
Everyday wearable metal objects- such as, but not limited to, metal jewelry, metal framed eyeglasses, and metal belts
Medications deemed unsafe for use with PEMF by your healthcare provider

Adequan, Legend, and Summit Shots - site reactions are a concern, only pulse 3 days after shot administration.
Dewormers - to avoid overdose or toxicity, wait 1 week after deworming to pulse or several hours after pulsing to deworm.
Vaccinations - to avoid adverse reactions, wait 3 days after shot is administered to pulse, longer if animal is prone to adverse reactions
Topical Agents - Equine

Repellants and Fly Spray - to avoid toxicity, do not use just prior/during PEMF sessions
Surpass or Diclofenac - do not use with any other topical agents or over an open wound, safe with PEMF by themselves
Essential Oils - only use for aromatherapy, and choose oils that are not known as irritants or toxic
Heating Poultice, Homemade Blends, Antiphlogistine, and Liniments - to avoid skin reactions, only reapply after PEMF session is complete. Cooling Clay Poultice is safe with PEMF use.
*To be safe, don't administer any of the topical agents listed above until your PEMF session is complete, unless the PEMF professional advises otherwise.
