Megan started riding at a young age after falling in love with horses during her first pony ride. From that point, there was no looking back. She trained and grew up in GA where she began in the Eventing world successfully training and competing through the levels.
Once she turned 17, she decided to give the hunter jumper world a go since her horse at the time was not fond of cross country. Megan believes that her foundation in dressage work has helped her train her horses for all aspects of competition.
Through college, Megan bought and sold a few horses and competed on the circuit in the south. Once she graduated, she made the decision to move down to South Florida to further pursue her riding. There she enjoyed the A circuit in the hunter jumper world and gained a lot of experience with the horses she trained and sold.
At 25, Megan got the opportunity to go over seas and train and compete in France. While in France, she worked with newly broke babies all the way to Grand Prix horses. Her trainer helped open her mind to new training techniques and how to better balance babies and shape them into professional jumpers. Since coming back to the states, Megan uses a combination of her experiences to approach every horses and rider individually. She believes in listening to the horses and not using forceful tactics. Every horse has their own way of going and she believes it is just learning what they like best to allow them to achieve their full potential.
Whether you are looking to compete at the highest levels or just master the basic and ride for pleasure, Megan can help you achieve your goals.
