When are practices? The team practice with our team trainer in small groups of 2-3 riders. Please ask the trainer if you are interested in individual lessons. RIders typically train 1-3 times per week.
How do I get started if I want to join the team? Click on the tab titled FORMS and find a form called "Let's Get tarted". This checklist will walk you through what you need to do!
How much will joining the team cost? Please see the Fee Agreement Form for all the costs associated. (Click on the tab titled Forms)
How many shows does the team participate in a year? 5 shows in the regular season and any post season show you or the team may qualify for. We usually schedule 1 show in January that acts as a makeup show if you are ill or nave an injury and must miss a show.
When does the show schedule come out? We have to wait until IEA finalizes all the shows being offered, usually in the beggining of August. At this point we have to apply to the shows we are interested in attending. This process sometimes takes another week or so before we get accepted into our shows. So we usually have our scheudle completed by mid May.
What do we need to purchase to belong to the team? All required and optional items are listed in the team handbook. Click here to read handbook Handbook
Do we need our own horse to join the team? No. The team brings horses based on how many riders are competing. The morning of the show officials draw names from a hat and randomly place riders with a horse. This is done for all riders at the show. So you will not necessariy ride a horse that you have ever met before. The riders size is a factor in what horses you are eligbile for.
Can my parents drop me off at the shows and go home? No. Parents will have certain responsbilites at each show. Depending on the job for a gven show, they may be able to come a little bit later or leave a little bit early though. Any shows that the team is co-hositng parents must stay the entire show to assist.
